Bit Hobble

 

This is a plain jane bit hobble with rawhide loops by Martin Saddlery.  The main purpose of this piece of horse tack is simply to hold the two shanks together to where they are not swinging and the rider cannot pull one shank into the horse's mouth.  Bit hobbles do not have any other purpose than the one above.  They are not curb straps and they are not adjustable.
